Classmate
We use a 36ft. Westerly Conway ketch for our school teaching. She is owned and managed by her skipper / instructor so you get the benefit of a really well maintained and equipped boat and an instructor who knows his boat in depth.
Classmate is strongly constructed, seaworthy and fully equipped for safety and comfort with seven berths in three heated cabins, two heads and full galley facilities.
Navigation and safety equipment includes GPS chart-plotter, Radar, DSC radio, NAVTEX, 6-man life-raft, EPIRB and MOB recovery systems.
Westerly yachts are renowned for being comfortable, spacious and excellent sea going yachts. Classmate is no exception.
Classmate’s skipper and instructor is Malcolm Fieldhouse. He has been sailing for many years and is an RNLI Sea Check examiner (Sea Check is a scheme run by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution to provide free safety advice to yachtsmen and women).
