Own BoatIf you have a suitable boat then why not use her for your training?It is a popular and successful way to learn and is the main way that our principal teaches.Provided that your boat is adequately equipped and you provide a crew, it is a very good way to take a practical course whilst learning a great deal more about handling your own yacht. What's more, you may be able to combine a course with a cruise to new waters. Remember that for these courses you are paying for the instructor’s time and travel expenses as well as for food, fuel, mooring costs and other boat related expenses. As a general guide the amount you will pay us for a 5 day course on your own boat will be broadly comparable with, but slightly higher than, the cost of two places on our school boat.
